Increasing the well-being of our employees

We've set ourselves the goal to each year score higher on our annual well-being survey than the previous year.

To achieve this, we'll work out an NPS framework by the end of 2025, carry out a zero measurement and, of course, provide the necessary follow-up actions. Fit@Work-actions will be organised for at least one year. The initiatives we're already taking, such as a focus on ergonomics and the presence of counsellors and a burnout-prevention coach, will of course continue.

Promoting digital inclusion

DNS Belgium is and continues to be an active promoter of more digital inclusion in Belgium, also in the future. Digital for Youth achieves the greatest impact in this field. We'll therefore continue to support Digital for Youth both financially and operationally.

At least once a year, we launch initiatives to increase the digital inclusion of various target groups. We keep our website accessible for people with disabilities according to the AnySurfer and WCAG standards, and in our external communication we try to use clear language. We follow Wablieft's guidelines for this.

Diversity

Even more than is the case now, DNS Belgium must become an organisation that embraces and strengthens diversity through a diversity of employee profiles. To achieve this, we'll draw up a diversity policy in 2025 which will be implemented between 2025 and 2030.

Privacy and security of internet users

Studies have shown that internet users are concerned about their privacy and the security of their data. Various online campaigns aim to increase the awareness around cyber security among the general public. We're thinking specific training for young people and raising the awareness of elderly people, for instance.

A two-yearly survey monitors whether cyber security awareness among internet users is increasing.

DNS Belgium has a responsibility to protect registrants' right to privacy which is why we've worked closely with the FPS Economy and the Data Protection Authority (DPA) since 2018. To make fraudulent websites inaccessible quickly and efficiently, the Notice & Action procedure was launched. We'll also develop more tools to give registrants control over their privacy (privacy by design).

Preventing erroneous content

A fairly recent and justified concern of internet users is about erroneous content on the internet, such as fake news. To combat erroneous content on the internet, we'll cooperate as much as possible with controllers such as the BIPT. We closely monitor social developments and examine whether we need to develop a policy on fake news and erroneous content on the internet.
